Infinite bubbles

Yes, that's what it's called. And it's great. Lisa still hasn't learned to blow on a bubble wand herself, so we got her one of those battery powered fan bubble blowers. We just got a small one, but it's amazing how many bubbles come out of that thing. Even when Lisa gets tired of holding it and wants me to do it at least it keeps me from getting light headed.

All about I (tag from Natalie)

i am: eating garden salsa sunchips, but my tongue is starting to burn a bit so I better stop

i think: Lisa is still asleep in the car. Let me go see....Yep. she is.

i know: I can do a good job when I put my mind to something, but sometimes I just don't want to do it or I'm nervous that I won't succeed

i want: milk to cool my mouth after those chips

i have:a husband who loves me and a daughter who makes me smile every day

i wish: I was more motivated to work on my sewing/quilting projects. I always enjoy it once I get myself started

i hate: being tired all the time, although it makes sleeping feel really really really good. I need to go to bed earlier.

i miss: the structure of school. I know that sounds silly because I was so ready to graduate, but it was nice to always have a teacher who planned your learning. Now if I want it I have to get it for myself. I'm not as disciplined when I don't have a teacher helping me learn.

i fear: mediocrity

i feel: a little tired

i hear: The sound of wind whistling. This is Rexburg, you know.

i smell: My sense of taste is kind of overpowering my other senses right now because of those chips.

i crave: chocolate with caramel

i search: for fun things to do with the family of five kids I babysit

i wonder: When the weather will be consistently warm. It's almost June for goodness sake.

i regret: the times when I saw a need but didn't reach out to help

i love: Ryan

i ache: usually in my neck, but Ryan gives a killer neck rub whenever I ask for one. I'm so lucky.

i care: too much about being right sometimes

i always: want a treat, like a milkshake or anything chocolate and caramel

i am not: going to spend hours planning our trip to New York any more. It's still a month away. I've got time and I need to relax about it.

i believe: we are going to have an awesome trip!

i dance: real slow with Ryan, really silly with Lisa

i sing: for one hour and then my voice is often hoarse. Makes me want a voice teacher again.

i don’t always: sing. But when I do it's still feels good most the time.

i fight: the temptation to neglect my chores and do nothing

i write: mostly on my blog, but sometimes in my journal

i win: scrabble. We don't play it too often, but when we do I almost always win. Unless Natalie is playing.

i lose: my keys. All the time. The last time it was for good. Now we only have one set to our car

i never: do the dishes until the sink is really full

i listen: to the new cds Ryan got off i tunes. We did not listen to all the same music in highschool.

i can usually be found: playing on the computer, although I also like to read nonstop if I'm absorbed in a good book

i am scared: that I will not live up to my potential

i need: to get a little more sleep

i am happy about: getting to spend the rest of my life with Ryan. He's the best!

Green Canyon Hot Springs

We went swimming yesterday at Green Canyon and Lisa really loved it. She was pretty clingy at first, but then ended up being a lot braver than I thought she'd be. Her feet could touch the bottom in the shallow end so I just kept telling her it was like a big bath so she wouldn't be scared. She loves the bath (and actually I do let it get quite full sometimes). Then I tried to get her to jump off the side into my arms and she surprised me by totally going for it. Of course, then she didn't want to stop doing it. And I love how she always chooses random numbers to count off...we never know when she's going to jump. She'll count to seven one time, four the n next...I think Ryan was trying to get her to stick with a good, solid five. It was a fun day. We will definitely spend more time there this summer.

Planting our little herb garden

I've been checking out books about Spring and planting seeds and stuff and tonight we got to put it into action. Hopefully we will see basil, ciantro and thyme sprouting up soon.

Helping daddy put the soil in. (Yes I got my hands dirty, too!)

Cheese! Humoring mommy by posing for the camera.

Tyin' flies...my new hobby?

This week Ryan and I went to a fly tying clinic that BYU-I activities put together and I tied my first fly! It was actually pretty cool. We tied a fairly simple one, the pheasant tail nymph, but Ryan says they can get really complicated. We were happy to hear that the class will be meeting every other Thursday all summer so hopefully I will get a chance to tie some more complicated ones. I can't wait to catch a fish on this one!

Summer!

Summer has finally decided to show it's face in Rexburg. Hopefully for good. Sunday night I came back from a week long trip to sunny California and Monday morning in Rexburg what should I wake up to but that persistent snow falling from the sky! I'm not usually one to complain about prolonged winters, but I think I've reached my limit. Probably because Lisa would spend all day outside everyday if we'd let her and so I'm anxious for consistent warm weather.

Lisa has also learned to pedal her tricycle. It took awhile, but she finally figured it out about a month ago.
